At its heart, this is a project dedicated to collecting, preserving, and validating the Azorean-American woman’s immigrant experience and cultural identity through the transformative power of archiving.
The site and included scholarship also serves as a doctoral dissertation by Suzanne Sink for Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia. The dissertation was approved in December 2019, directed by Dr. Daniel P. Richards with committee members Dr. Louise Wetherbee Phelps and Dr. Julia Romberger, and Dr. Nathan R.
