Embroidered drawstring purse, floral motifs, exterior fabric a plain blue cloth, interiro fabric is black with white polka dots. embroidery in shades of pink, yellow, and orange, with tassels at drawstring ends and purse bottom, made by Maria Gloria Barboza, mother of John Sousa, circa 1860s. Preserved in the hope chest of Almerinda (Sousa) Coute Silvia (2017.SOU.001). In the collection of Suzanne Sink.
